The communication room is designed to introduce to the player the concepts of encryption and decryption by guiding them through the process of solving a Caesar Cipher, a very old encryption technique used by Caesar himself. The goal for the player is to decipher the message on the wall and input it into the console by the keyboard. The player is provided with an aide to help them decrypt the messages found on the walls, but they will need to find some clues about how to use the aide effectively.
