This week, a group of 5 high schoolers joined us; Kishan, Shivam, Ishani, Ula, and Flora. We introduced them to Unity3D, and allowed them to brainstorm ideas for rooms.
The high schoolers placed priority on subject they had trouble grasping at first, as well as commonly known subjects that often trip up students ages 10-13.
Ishani, Ula, and Flora came up with a "Take the Bait" room, in which the basics of coding will be taught through the player needing to navigate a fish through a series of pipes to get a worm.
Kishan and Shivam created a block puzzle room (pictures shown below).
We also managed to:
Finish the cipher room
Finish and added the water pipe room
Add a tutorial room (a bedroom)
Create an app that communicates with player via chatbox.
Next week, we plan on:
Incorporating multiplayer integration
(Mobile app for viewer interaction)
(Try to establish player ratings)
Continue working and debugging the current rooms
For the high schoolers, they plan on
Getting accustomed to C#
Coding movement for fish and worm
Coding for interactive blocks
Begin a basketball room with gravity variation to teach parabolas
